My postdoctoral research has taken me to a beautiful corner of the world – the Solomon Islands in the South Pacific. With the expert assistance of local collaborators I am sampling Myzomela honeyeaters in a recently established zone of secondary contact on the coast of the island of Makira.

During my PhD research I got to spend 4 months out of the year keeping tabs on my study species, the White-ruffed Manakin (Corapipo altera) in a gorgeous corner of Costa Rica, Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio.
